(Important information about the number of graduate courses that students in our Graduate School's graduate programs must take in one semester, compulsory courses and exemption)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR STUDENTS AND ADVISORY TEACHERS (Please read the following information carefully!)

MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM NUMBER OF COURSES TO BE TAKEN IN A SEMESTER:

According to Artvin Çoruh University Graduate Education and Examination Regulations, Article 19, subparagraph 3, "Students are required to take at least two courses in each of the first and second semesters." 

COMPULSORY GRADUATE COURSES TO BE TAKEN:

1- Courses that must be taken by students studying in all graduate programs

Effective from the Fall Semester of 2021-2022 Academic Year, the course code will be LEE 4000. (Senate: 06.07.2021)

Scientific Research Techniques and Publication Ethics (3+0+0+0+0+7,5) 

(Can be taken in any semester of the education phase. It must be taken before the thesis defense exam and must be successful. It is not included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

2- Compulsory Courses to be taken by Students Studying in Doctorate Programs

The codes of the courses to be valid from the Fall Semester of 2021-2022 Academic Year: (Senate: 06.07.2021)

Development and Learning will be LEE 4001 / Planning and Evaluation in Instruction will be LEE 4002.

Development and Learning (3+0+0+0+0+7,5) and Planning and Evaluation in Instruction (3+2+0+4+7,5)

(It can be taken in any semester of the PhD Education-Training phase. It must be taken before the thesis defense exam and must be successful. It is not included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

3- Compulsory Courses to be taken by Students Studying in Natural Resource Management Interdisciplinary Master's Program with Thesis

DKY 5003 Master Project Preparation and Management (3+0+0+3+7,5)

(Education-Training must be taken in the course phase (maximum 4 semesters) and must be successful. Unsuccessful students cannot proceed to the thesis phase. It is included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

4- Courses that must be taken by students studying in the Occupational Health and Safety Interdisciplinary Master's Program with Thesis

To be valid for students who will start the program from the Fall Semester of 2021-2022 Academic Year: (Senate: 06.07.2021)

OHS 5010 Risk Management course will be given as an elective in the spring semester, and it is compulsory to take and succeed in OHS 5011 Occupational Health and Safety course.

(OHS 5011 coded course must be taken during the course phase of Education and Training (maximum 4 semesters) and must be successful. Unsuccessful students cannot proceed to the thesis phase. It is included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

The following application will continue for students who started the program before the Fall Semester of 2021-2022 Academic Year.

OHS 5010 Risk Management (3+0+0+3+7,5) and OHS 5011 Introduction to Occupational Health and Safety (3+0+0+3+7,5)

(Education-Training must be taken in the course phase (maximum 4 semesters) and must be successful. Unsuccessful students cannot proceed to the thesis phase. It is included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

5- Compulsory Courses to be taken by Students Studying in Science Education Master's Program with Thesis

EFB 501 Basic Statistics for Educational Studies (3+2+0+4+6)

(Education-Training must be taken in the course phase (maximum 4 semesters) and must be successful. Unsuccessful students cannot proceed to the thesis phase. It is included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

6- Compulsory Courses to be taken by Students Studying in Science Education Doctorate Program

EEG 601 Statistics for Educational Studies (3+2+0+4+7,5) (Senate: 06.07.2021)

(Education-Training must be taken in the course phase (maximum 4 semesters) and must be successful. Unsuccessful students cannot proceed to the thesis phase. It is included in the course load, ECTS and average). 

EXEMPTION (Related to Scientific Research Techniques and Publication Ethics (3+0+0+0+0+7,5) Course):

The decision taken by the Graduate School Executive Board at its meeting dated 16.10.2020 "The exemption requests of the students who certify to our Graduate School with a petition that they have previously taken this course during their graduate education (master's and doctorate with / without thesis) can be accepted if deemed appropriate by the relevant Department Heads and they will be deemed successful and exempt from this course, ...." exemption can be made in line with.
